LEGASLATIVE BRANCH

This topic I will be doing a presentation on in a few days for my course in American Government and Politics, so much information to be shared and learned about. The Legislative Branch is part of congress, basically major parts of the law. There are different committees within the branch that have the power to move the bill through committee process. The Legislation must be drafted by someone who is not a member of the congress. However, being the fact that it’s involvement is with the congress. Before reaching the house floor it must go through the house of committee on rules. The committee establishes the rules the bill go through the floor, where it is debated and amendments can be added.

I honestly left high school years ago so to re learn this stuff suits me very well. I learned the fact that Legislative plays a huge role in congress and the senate, it plays a huge role in law period. The house hold votes on the bill of Legislation, after that it gets moved out of the house and to the senate. The fact that one simple bill gets moved to all different locations makes it interesting and I love reading and learning more about this subject. Not even the President can have much say in any bill he may have an opinion but it boils down to everyone else especially the congress and the senate, that has the upper power of the final vote in any bill. Once is in the senate the bill is placed in the calendar so it can be debated. Both the house and senate can and often do amend bills, the bills that pass out of each chamber often looks different.
